Last weekend I took the girls to be with my mother so I could work uninterrupted on writing and designing projects for the book. It was pure bliss to have nothing but time to draw, paint, listen to music and just work at a feverish pace.
Victor and I made a studio for me upstairs on the dining room table (light!!) and rearranged our living room to make room for the two Wassily chairs that were my father's. I love having his chair in the house- they are perfectly worn in and the girls (and Peanut) have been curling up in them to read.
Eating family dinner in my new studio space is a bit of a challenge, so we will see how long this upstairs studio lasts. But for now I am in love with being in front of a window and watching the day pass while I work.
